AutoBI has announced a new addition to its BI Development team in the form of industry-leading specialist, Neil Cantrell.
Neil has been appointed as AutoBI’s Principal BI Architect and will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design and development of the BI architecture, while also working with AutoBI’s customer success team to bring the products to life for new and existing customers.
Neil is extremely experienced in the world of BI, having spent his entire career pursuing his interest in automotive data. Neil tells us: “I first fell in love with data over 20 years ago when I first switched from being an accountant to an automotive data specialist and I haven’t looked back since. It was clear how important data can be in the decision-making process and I’ve always been excited by getting into the detail of data and really seeing what it can do. This move to AutoBI will allow me to take this exploration even further, using the very best and the latest tech that’s available right now. I can’t wait to get started.”
As one of the foremost experts in the field of BI, Neil’s career has seen him own his own report generation business, work as a BI specialist at BMW UK and act as International Product Manager for Reports and BI at CDK, now known as Keyloop. It is this unparalleled experience and knowledge of the motor industry that drew the attention of Jonathan Sharman, Director of AutoBI.
Jonathan said: “Both my fellow Director, Mick, and I have worked with Neil in the past and we know what a valuable asset he will be to the AutoBI team. Not only does he have a unique understanding of the data structure of dealer management systems, he also knows the motor trade inside out and he will be able to work with our developers to get the absolute best out of our BI system, and discover new ways of using data to deliver results for our clients. Neil is someone who is genuinely excited by data and is always looking for new ways to test its limits – that is what will help AutoBI to evolve and we couldn’t be happier to bring him on board.”
Neil added: “Dealers and automotive businesses can only take advantage of the data they know about. But there is so much that their DMS can do that they don’t even know. AutoBI gives customers one central source of truth – one place where all the data you need is at your fingertips. And so many businesses have no idea that they have all that untapped potential sitting there waiting for them. AutoBII is going to make such a huge difference to so many new and existing customers and I look forward to starting that journey of discovery with them.”
